Heights Fellowship Church
Statement Faith
We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God ( the Father). Jesus Christ died for our sin as the full expression of God’s love for us (John 3:16), and by faith, through the Holy Spirit, we can walk with God till Christ returns to earth ( Acts 2:1-4 NIV, 1 Thessalonians 5:23NIV). We believe, in finished work of Christ and by faith baptized into the Church of Christ universal, that is the visibly expressed in the local Church (1 Peter 2:9 NIV). We are the children of God, the Father through Christ. Through the Spirit, we have access to spiritual benefits that any child of a loving father provides, for example, the gift of the Holy Spirit, access to participate in holy communion, the life of peace, love, and hope, etc. We believe in Christian mission and calling to worship, preach and teach the word of God( 2 Timothy 4:2) and bring the lost to Christ and become members of the body of Christ (Mark 1:17 NIV). The Church is composed of people “called out” from sin, purchased and established by Christ and the Holy Spirit to carry out God’s message (Acts 20:28 NIV).
A) We believe in the Holy Spirit to empower, guide, and give insight. We accept the book of the Old and New Testament as the authoritative Word of God free from error in its original form.
B) We believe in one God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit ( Matthew 28:19).
C) We believe that God works in creation, revelation, redemption, and final judgment (John 1:1-3).
D) We believe in the divine inspiration, the trustworthiness of scriptures, and that the bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct (Psalm 119:89, Joshua 1:8, Mathew 5:17-19 2 Timothy 3:16-17)).
E) We believe that sin exists in the world and that humankind from the time of fall of Adam is under condemnation, but through Christ, we find forgiveness of sin, redemption from the guilt. y through the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God (Roman 3:23-24, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
F) We affirm the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration (2 Corinthians 5:1)
G) We believe too in the expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:52 NIV, Luke 21:25-28 NIV)
